It is understood that it is one of six class B locomotive built by Beyer Peacock Works number 2137 is believed to have been ordered from Beyer Peacock in 1932 as one of six such locomotives.
It was originally allocated to Korosten depot on the Yugo-Zapadnaya Railway.
£4 of the class of locomotives are thought to have been still in stock in 1967 and 25 were believed to be in regular use.
This locomotive is preserved in the Science Museum at Lviv where it has been seen in steam on a number of occasions.
