North British Locomotive Company – Works No 27393   3533  

This locomotive was built by the North British Locomotive Company in 1954 and entered service with SAR as a class 25 locomotive. It was rebuilt as a class 25NC none condensing locomotive in the 1970s.

The locomotive is now owned by Rovos Rail and is one of a few engines used by the company to haul special trains following its restoration. It is normally based at Capital Park locomotive depot near Pretoria.
