This locomotive was built by Dübs and Company in Glasgow in 1882 for the Canadian Pacific Railway. It then carried the number 22.

 It was used to haul passenger trains between Thunder Bay and Kenora, Ontario for twenty years

Between 1898 and 1908 it was employed on duties in the CanAdIAn Rockies.

For 20 years it did duty as a passenger locomotive between on CP, and the engine’s service included nearly 10 years of working out West in the Canadian Rockies, from 1898 to 1908.

After working in British Columbia the locomotive was moved east and renumbered 133. At this time it was rebuilt and modernized in the workshops at Winnipeg.

In 1923 the locomotive was renumbered 3 and used on the Winnipeg Hydro company’s railway system.

The locomotive is now preserved at the Prairie Dog Central Railway where it hauls excursion trains on the branch line.
