This locomotive was built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow in 1921for the South African Railways (SAR).
It is one of the locomotives that was not rebuilt as a class 15AR engine and retains its original type of boiler.
It is privately owned by Greg Mc Lennan but its location is not known.
There are ten class 15AR locomotives preserved including two (SAR 2093 & SAR 2100) built in Germany by Maffei in Munich. All of these engines were originally introduced as class 15A locomotives.
