Beyer Peacock Works No 7690 – RR 705 & 730 Isuga

This locomotive was built by Beyer, Peacock and Company at Gorton, Manchester for the Rhodesia Railways (later Zambia Railways and National Railways of Zimbabwe) in 1954 and entered service as number 705.

This was one of the locomotives left in Southern Rhodesia and employed transporting coal from Thomson Junction to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.

In September 191 the locomotive was rebuilt by RESSCO in Bulawayo and renumbered 730.

It was last in service in November 1992 and the following year its ownership based to the Bulawayo Railway Museum.

It last steamed in 2004.
