Dübs and Company Works No 2499 – NGR 55 & SAR 103

This Dübs A class locomotive was built by Dübs and Company in Glasgow in 1889 for the Natal Government Railways (NGR) where it carried the number NGR 55.

It later became SAR number 103 in 1912 following the establishment of the South African Railways (SAR).

The locomotive was moved from Witbank to the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George in August 2014.

It was placed on static display in 2016 after being cosmetically restored.
