This locomotive was built by Hudswell Clarke & Co in Leeds in 1925 for use at the Goondi Mill, Innisfail where it carried the No 6.
The name Goondi is believed to be an Aboriginal word meaning elbow which referred to the bend in the Johnstone River at the site.
By January 1979 the locomotive was at Sandhurst near Melbourne
As of 2002 the locomotive was in storage at the Alexandra Timber Tramway but was later sold to a private buyer.
It was reported in October 2010 that the locomotive had been converted to a 0-6-0T configuration and restored for use on the Alambi Private Railway at Strath Creek, Victoria.
