Hunslet      Works No 1026    7  Seaforth    0-4-2T      Pleystowe Mill, Australia    Gauge 2ft 0in

This locomotive was built by the Hunslet Engine Company in Leeds in 1910 and delivered to the Kalamia Mill near Ayr where it was given the name Seaforth. The two cylinders of the locomotive were 7inch x 12inch.

In 1935 the locomotive was sold to Peystowe Mill which is situated alongside the Pioneer River, west of Mackay. It continued to carry the name Seaforth and was given the No 7.

Damage caused by the 1918 cyclone to the adjoining mill, The Palms, was so extensive that its cane supply was sent to Pleystowe to be crushed. In 1925, the two mills were amalgamated under the name of Amalgamated Sugar Mills Limited.

This company became part of CSR Limited in 1975, following the absorption of The Australian Estates Co Limited group of companies by CSR Limited.

After being withdrawal from service on sugar cane haulage duties it was placed on display at Pleystowe Mill.

In November 2003 the locomotive was sold to Peter Ford and stored at a private property in Mackay.

Following the death of the owner by 2020 the locomotive had been sold and returned to Britain in the following year.

The locomotive is now based at Statfold Barn.
