This locomotive was built by John Fowler in Leeds in 1909 and was delivered to Australia later that year.

It was resold in 1913 to the Johnson Sugar Mill and then to the Isis Central Mill in 1925. At the Isis Central Mill it carried the No 5.

In 1966 it was transferred to the Gin Gi Sugar Mill where it retained the No 5. By 1969 the locomotive was relegated to standby duties. It was sold to Bruce MacDonald and moved to the Goulburn Steam Museum in New South Wales in March 1972.

At the Goulburn Museum it was fitted with new water tanks of a smaller size and, in 1975, it underwent steam trials.

In 1978, the locomotive was transferred to the ACT for a tourist attraction which subsequently failed.

In November 1980 the locomotive was put up for sale by auction and was purchased by the Alexandra Timber Tramway.

The locomotive moved to the Alexandra Timber Tramway in January 1981 and was returned to steam again in 1988.
