This locomotive was built by John Fowler in Leeds in 1924 for Neranwood Hardwood Company who operated a timber tramway at Mudgeeraba in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The tramway ceased operations in 1926 but in 1931 the locomotive was purchased by the Farleigh Mill at Mackay. Here it was employed in hauling sugar cane until the early 1960s.
In 1972 the locomotive was donated to the Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society (ANGRMS). The locomotive was transported to Brisbane for a period of storage before arriving at the ANGRMS Woodford site in 1980.
