North British Locomotive Company Works No 26019 – SAR 3135

This locomotive was built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow in 1946 for the South African Railways.

It is owned by the Transport Heritage Foundation (THF).

The locomotive was leased to Reefstreemers which was largely a volunteer organisation that restored and operated steam locomotives on tourist charter trains from 1995.

The lack of financial backing or funding and the problems associated with dealing with Government agencies proved too much and in December 2019 it was announced that Reefstreamers was shutting down.

The locomotive is understood to be at the Germiston Locomotive Depot.
