North British Locomotive Company – Works No 27296   3410   

This locomotive was built by the North British Locomotive Company and entered service with SAR as a class 25NC locomotive in the early 1950s.

The locomotive has been identified as been selected as the member of the class to be preserved as part of the National Collection by the Transport Heritage Foundation. The locomotive is currently stored in the locomotive depot at Bloemfontein.
