Peckett 1963 Bere Ferrers Station June 2013.jpg

This M5 class locomotive was built by Peckett & Sons in 1938 and delivered new to the Plaster Works of Caferata & Co at Newark which later became British Gypsum.

The locomotive was acquired by Ray Bailey and David Kemp in December 1971 from Beacon Hill Plaster Works in Newark.

It was moved to the Main Line Steam Trust at  Loughborough in July 1973 where it remained in storage for many years before being moved to Bere Ferrers Station in July 1996.

The locomotive has been restored at Bere Ferres Station which is where it remains.
