Robert Stephenson & Company Works No 3560 – SAR 1718

This locomotive was built by the Robert Stephenson & Company in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1913 for the South African Railways (SAR).

It entered service as a class 14 locomotive but following being refitted with a Watson boiler it was reclassified as a class 14R engine.

The locomotive is owned by the Transport Heritage Foundation (THF) and is part of the National Collection and is believed to be at the Bloemfontein Locomotive Depot.
