This locomotive was built by W G Bagnall in 1936 and spent its working life in industrial service with the Central Electricity Generating Board in Northampton at Hardingstone Road Power Station before being acquired for preservation.

It was initially acquired privately and stored at a private address in Witney in Oxfordshire. No restoration work was undertaken there.

The locomotive moved to Stephen’s Green Farm at Milton in Pembrokshire in March 1979 and spent fourteen years stored in the farmyard.

It’s current owner has spent many years restoring it to working order, a project completed in 2014.

For some time it was based on the Northampton and Lamport Railway.

It is now based at the Mid Suffolk Light Railway.

In June 2022 it was reported that the locomotive had been made available for sale. After being taken out of service in December 2021 the locomotive is in need of a full ten year overhaul.
